THE CHIMNEY POT IS BACK – NEW OWNERSHIP IN BUY-OUT FROM EDISEN

Fredrik Zander, who for eleven years ran The Chimney Pot together with CEO Henric
Larsson - acquires the post-production part from Edisen together with entrepreneur and angel
investor Rickard Karlqvist and screenwriter Aron Levander. The trio, who launched their film
production company 08INDUSTRIES in 2023, now acquires Sweden's leading post-
production company from Edisen, which now returns to its original name The Chimney Pot.
All operations continue seamlessly and all current and future productions will proceed exactly
as planned. Co-founder Henric Larsson continues as CEO in the new constellation, leading
the business and the thirty employees currently at the company.

For over 25 years, The Chimney Pot has long been the driving force in Scandinavian post-
production, and has over the years established itself as one of the film industry's most reliable
and successful full-service companies - in Sweden and abroad.

- Over the years, Chimney has become one of the film industry's main hubs in Sweden, says
Fredrik Zander, who held the position as Head of Entertainment for eleven years, until he left
the company in 2019. During my time at Chimney, we managed to secure a leading position in
post-production in Sweden, Scandinavia and on the international market.
The Chimney Pot (Edisen) works continuously with many of the world's leading production
companies - collaborations that over the years have resulted in a long series of critically
acclaimed films and award-winning TV series, that have all found their way through the
house at Skeppsbron 38, on their way out to their international audience.

- It feels great to team up with Fredrik again, says Henric Larsson, CEO of The Chimney Pot.
I couldn’t have imagined a better constellation to lead the company in this exciting and
transformative time in the film industry. Together with our new partners and all our fantastic
colleagues, we now set our full focus on taking Swedish film and commercial production to
new and amazing heights, says Henric Larsson.
The old Chimney flag is already flying over the entrance at Skeppsbron 38, where the
company will remain under its new ownership.

- The house in the old town has long been a meeting place for our whole industry, says Aron
Levander, screenwriter and one of the new co-owners of The Chimney Pot. Together with
Rickard and Fredrik, we have in a short time developed 08INDUSTRIES into a very
promising production company with a strong slate of Swedish and international projects in
development. It feels fantastic to now be able to add one of the central hubs in Swedish film –
a true institution in post-production – to our company structure.

Entrepreneur and angel investor Rickard Karlqvist sees a good business opportunity in The
Chimney Pot, as the company has shown a stable turnover and good margins over a long
period of time. But it is in the new constellation that Rickard sees the company’s greatest
potential.

- Henric has an incredible drive, says Rickard Karlqvist, and Fredrik and I have gotten to
know each other working with 08INDUSTRIES. Together, Fredrik and Henric have already
shown that they can achieve great things for The Chimney Pot. It feels fantastic to be able to
bring them back together again, as we now get ready for the next exciting chapter for the
company.
Henric Larsson is confident that the industry will welcome the new old constellation and the
return to the original name.

- There’s an incredible feeling of rejuvenation in the whole company. We are happy to now
welcome the film industry back to the Chimney Pot, says Henric Larsson.
